Terms and Conditions
Last updated
These terms apply when you order from Daily Soqo Limited, trading as Soqo (“we”, “us”), of Kikuyu, Kenya, through soqo.co.ke, by phone or on WhatsApp. By placing an order you agree to them. Please also read our Returns policy and Privacy notice.
1. Ordering
- You do not need an account to order. You give us your name, phone number and delivery address.
- We take online and phone orders Monday to Saturday, 8AM to 6PM (East Africa Time). Orders placed outside these hours are delivered from 8AM on the next working day.
- 500mL and 1L bottles are sold online in orders of at least 20 bottles of each size. There is no minimum for 10L and 20L water.
- Your order is accepted when we confirm it on screen or by message. We may decline or cancel an order, with a full refund, if an item is unavailable, the address is outside our delivery area, or we suspect fraud.
2. Prices
- Prices are in Kenya shillings (KES) and include any taxes that apply.
- The price you pay is the price shown at checkout. We check every price when you order, so a price saved in your cart may be updated before you pay.
- Sale prices apply until the date shown or while stocks last.
3. Payment
- Pay with M-Pesa (we send a payment prompt to your phone; you confirm with your PIN) or cash on delivery.
- We never ask for your M-Pesa PIN by phone, message or in person. Only enter it on the official M-Pesa prompt.
- An M-Pesa order is confirmed once the payment succeeds. If it fails, the order is not delivered and you are not charged.
4. Delivery
- Delivery is free across Nairobi and its surroundings (see Delivery areas).
- We aim to deliver within about 30 minutes in Kikuyu and about 1 hour elsewhere. These are estimates, not guarantees; traffic, weather and demand can cause delays.
- Someone must be available to receive the order and, for refills, to hand over the empty bottle. If nobody is available, the rider will call you and we may rearrange delivery.
- The goods are your responsibility once delivered.
5. Refills and bottles
- A refill is an exchange: our rider swaps your empty bottle of the same size, any brand, for a full sealed one, and you pay for the water only.
- The empty bottle must be undamaged, free of cracks and leaks, and must not have held chemicals, fuel, oil or other non-food contents. The rider may refuse a bottle that does not meet these conditions; you can then buy a new bottle or cancel that item free of charge.
- Bottles handed over become the property of Soqo. Full details are in our Returns policy.
6. Returns, refunds and cancellations
Our Returns policy explains how to report a problem, replacements, refunds and cancellations. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2012.
7. Your responsibilities
- Give us an accurate phone number and address.
- Store water in a cool, clean place out of direct sunlight, and use it within the period shown on the label.
- Do not misuse the site, place fake orders, or use someone else’s phone number without their permission.
8. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable, or for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Kenyan law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version shown on this page when you place an order applies to that order.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem; if we cannot, the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction.
